Important Swedish Gustavian HAGA- chandelier dated 1st of December 1791 and signed by the master of them all, Olof Westerberg.
This is a unique and important chandelier. There are very few signed chandeliers and even fewer that are dated. That together with the rare model makes this is one of a kind.
The frame is made of gilt brass and has the typical design of the HAGA- chandeliers. They are called HAGA- chandeliers since Gustaf lll, Swedish king at the time, ordered at least seven of this model to his beloved HAGA- Pavilion.
The quality is outstanding. This goes for the metalwork, the gilding as well as the crystals. Everything has been made with the greatest effort.
These kind of chandeliers are the best of all chandeliers Sweden ever manufactured. The proportion , the design and quality is second to none.
