A Japanese high quality wooden dagger. The carving is made of the highest quality as often Japanes items are. There is a signature and a poem engraved on side.
In The 19th c only the Samurai were allowed to wear swords. Therefore this kind of swords were worn by doctors to imitate a real sword.
