A pair of urns, early 19th c.

A pair of urns with lids made of gilt and patinated bronze with bases of white marble. The vessels are made of porcelain. They are probably French although the porcelain have an English feeling to it.

These were made as decorative objects to place on a table surtout or similar. The lids and the rims are perforated in a beautiful pattern. The idea was to place well smelling herbs or flowers inside the urns that should spread a sweet scent in the room.
