The 1920s was an important period in Swedish design and has internationally become very popular. The artists were influenced by classical motives but made very peculiar objects of art. This was a period of industrialism in Sweden and many of todays large international companies were started. The entrepreneurs often built magnificent homes and filled them with objects like this. Several of Stockholms most important buildings were built during this period, the Concerthall among others.
