A refined Swedish Grace chest of drawers from the 1930s, beautifully veneered in walnut and contrasted by satinwood banding that frames the top, base and softly rounded corners. The three drawers are decorated with elegant marquetry inlays, inspired by classical motifs and executed with remarkable precision. Original brass ring pulls and working key escutcheons enhance its understated elegance.
The cabinet rests on finely turned feet, lending a light, balanced appearance that is characteristic of the Swedish Grace period. A glass top has protected the surface over the years and remains in place.
Swedish Grace combined the symmetry and restraint of Neoclassicism with the clean lines that would later define Scandinavian Modernism. This chest captures that transition beautifully, offering timeless proportions, warm walnut tones and decorative details that remain sophisticated rather than ornate.
A versatile piece that works equally well in a bedroom, hallway or living room, providing generous storage while serving as an elegant focal point in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
