A wonderful Bohemian chandelier made in the second half of the 18th century. It has four handshaped crystalarms with candleholders. Central in the chandelier is a forged iron stem that holds all the crystal tigether. This was the technique used in Europe in this period of time.
The crystal bowl that holds the S-shaped arms is inside silvered and this is original from the 18th c. The chandelier has historically interesting pendants in the shape of grapes and stars and the largest crystal pendants have engraved motives.
The forged iron loop that it hangs in is olso original and in perfect condition.
It is rare to find this type of chandelier in this condition.
