Dimensions: Height 11.3 cm (5 inches) x Width 4 cm (2 inches) x Depth 4 cm (2 inches)

A finely detailed German silver figure depicting Frederick II of Prussia, known as Frederick the Great (1712–1786), shown standing in military uniform with his characteristic tricorn hat, sword and walking cane. The figure rests on an elaborate square pedestal, each side worked in relief with Prussian and military motifs, including the crowned FR monogram, the Prussian eagle and trophies of arms.

The unusually rich decoration and careful modelling give this small sculpture a remarkable presence despite its modest scale. The crowned FR cipher, together with the Prussian eagle and military iconography, firmly identifies the subject with Frederick the Great and the Kingdom of Prussia.

Probably German, second half of the 19th century. Unmarked. The metal is most likely silver but there are no marks on it.
